Imaginative Play Activity

Review: Kid-Eco Cardboard Rocket Den

I can’t begin to tell you how much fun we’ve had with this fantastic cardboard rocket play house by Kid-Eco!

Made of 80% recycled cardboard, suitable to be painted and tall enough for me to stand in(!)…it is the perfect den for any child who loves rockets and space.

What did we like about it?

  • Easy to Build– I must admit when it arrived I was a bit daunted about building it! However, even alone with two kids ‘encouraging’ me to build it very very quickly…I managed to slot the cardboard pieces together quickly and easily using the instructions provided.

  • Quality– The cardboard is cut perfectly to fit into each slot and it’s hardwearing enough to endure rough play (and the door being opened and closed lots!) It has beautifully detailed cut outs on the sides of planets and the sun too.

  • Develops Creativity– We loved that this rocket helps to develop creativity. The children were very excited to be able to paint it themselves and decide the colours. Makes a fantastic family time project!

  • Encourages Imaginative Play– It is a fantastic toy for Imaginative Play. Children can climb in and pretend to blast off into space! With its 2 doors it also makes a brilliant tunnel and a top choice for hide and seek . We’ve also enjoyed using it as a reading den and a cosy place to relax before bedtime.

  1. My year ones will love this. Definitely on my shopping list. Will be able to disassemble it and store in our rather too small stock room when we move on to a new topic.
