Practical SEND Strategies That Make a Difference
I’m Georgina Durrant and I’m passionate about helping educators feel more confident when supporting children and young people with SEND.

As a qualified teacher/SENDCo, 5x published SEND author and founder of The SEN Resources Blog, I share practical, realistic strategies that help schools create inclusive environments where all learners can thrive. My sessions are packed with ideas that can be implemented straight away, helping busy educators make meaningful changes without creating unnecessary workload.

I regularly speak at (and chair) conferences, training events, trust conferences, school INSET days, webinars and podcasts – available across the UK and internationally.
Keynote Speaking
My keynote presentations combine practical classroom strategies, real-life examples and actionable ideas that educators can take back to their setting immediately.
Drawing on the themes from my books and resources, I explore how small, thoughtful adaptations can make a significant difference to children and young people’s experiences in school.
My talks focus on:
- Practical strategies to support pupils with SEND (this can be further split into a key area of need eg. Speech and Language or Literacy)
- Creating inclusive classrooms where all learners can succeed
- Removing barriers to learning
- Supporting participation, independence and confidence
- Helping educators feel more confident supporting a wide range of needs
- Simple adaptations with high impact
- Embedding inclusion into everyday classroom practice
Every keynote is tailored to the audience and the needs of your setting or event.
Panels & Discussion Events
I regularly contribute to panel discussions, roundtables and question-and-answer sessions on SEND, inclusion and education.
