As part of Space Week on The SEN Resources Blog we visited Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre in Cheshire.
A fantastic place to learn about space and view the enormous Lovell Telescope.
What did we like about it?
- Encourages a Love of Science- regardless of age or ability, Jodrell Bank is great at inspiring children- from the sheer size of the telescopes to the indoor activities such as planet models and infra red camera.
- Interactive– The children loved how interactive the discovery centre is, with numerous buttons to press and activities to try out.
- Promotes Outdoor Learning- We were lucky to visit on the gorgeous weekend before the snow hit and were able to enjoy the array of outdoor, hands-on, science activities. Great for promoting outdoor learning.
