Always been a fan of the ‘That’s not my…’ range by Usbourne, but hadn’t realised until recently how great they can be for children with Special Educational Needs.
They have short, simple sentences that include repetition of phrases to make reading or listening easier. And of course, they have the fantastic textured part on each page- making reading a book a much more sensory experience. This can be brilliant for children with visual impairments as they are still able to access the books. It also adds an interesting dimension to reading to encourage less motivated readers.
